ServeWith ("ServeWith," "we,""us," or "our") connects volunteers with local nonprofits and helps nonprofits find people to serve alongside. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through servewith.org (the"Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, signing up as a volunteer, or registering a nonprofit organization, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
If you sign up as a volunteer, we collect your email address, mobile phone number, and zip code. If you opt in to text messages, we also keep a record of your consent: the exact checkbox language you agreed to, the date and time, the page you signed up on, and the IP address the signup came from. We keep this consent record so we can show, if ever asked, exactly what you agreed to and when.
If you register a nonprofit, we collect your organization's name, a contact name, a contact email address, your zip code,and, optionally, your website. When you submit a volunteer opportunity, we also collect the event's address, date, time, and description, which we use to match it to nearby volunteers.
If you reply to one of our emails, including replies used to submit or update a volunteer opportunity, we receive the content of that email so we can process it.
General site usage. Like most websites, our Site may use cookies or similar technology for basic functionality. We do not currently use this information to build advertising profiles.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties,and we do not use your information for purposes unrelated to operating ServeWith.
How We Share Information
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf to help run ServeWith, including providers who help us host our website and database, filter spam from our sign-up forms, send and receive email, convert addresses into map coordinates so we can match volunteers to nearby opportunities, and help us read and organize the content of emails nonprofits send us describing volunteer opportunities. These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide these services to us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ServeWith, our users, or others.
If a nonprofit organization has posted a volunteer opportunity, a volunteer's contact click may generate a record connecting that volunteer to that opportunity, so we can measure whether our emails are useful and avoid sending the same listing twice. We do not share a volunteer's personal contact information with a nonprofit unless the volunteer initiates that contact themselves.
Text Messages
If you check the box to receive text messages, you will get occasional messages related to volunteer opportunities. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. Consent to receive text messages is never required to use ServeWith and is not shared with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email us at hello@servewith.org and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or listing is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes, including maintaining the consent records described above. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so except where we are required or permitted to retain it, such as consent records needed to demonstrate compliance with text messaging law.
Children's Privacy
ServeWith is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
